As both a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) and an R1 Research Institution, Texas A&M University's educational mission and support for students extends far beyond the classroom. The Office of Strategic Educational Partnerships serves to advance the educational mission of the Division of Academic Affairs while also responding to student needs through outreach, funding, and research-based evaluations.

National Hispanic Heritage Month (HHM) is annually observed in the United States from Sept. 15-Oct. 15. During this month, the history and culture of the Hispanic and Latinx communities are recognized and celebrated for their contributions and presence in the United States.
In recognition of their Latino/a/x research involvement, doctoral students Emma Newman and Joseline González-Ajanel have been awarded the Mellon Crossing Latinidades Fellowship for the 2024-2025 academic year, making them the first Aggies to receive this honor.
